Author’s Notes: This was written for
open_on_sunday’s current prompt, denial.
Buffy wondered sometimes where Faith was getting the money for the motel room. How she was eating.
Buffy wondered sometimes where Faith was from. Where her father had been. What her mother was like, other than drunk.
Buffy wondered sometimes where Faith had learnt that her sexuality was the first and best approach to meeting people and making them like her.
Mostly, though, she invited Faith over for dinner occasionally and slayed with her and tried not to think about what Faith might need. If she did, she’d have to notice the invitation in those dark eyes and parted lips.

We've been watching season 7 again and - beyond yelling WHAT at the screen when they have the slight disagreement over leadership and everyone goes completely bonkers out of character - Faith's neckline pretty well goes up and down in perfect synchronisation with her level of badness.

LOLOLOL. Not to mention the way she gets highlights when she gets redeemed. Because her hair was DARK, DARK AS HER SOUL, whereas Buffy was FAIR-HAIRED. I love Mutant Enemy's devotion to Metaphor Shampoo.
