On The Naming Of Things

Question: do you guys name your gadgets? Cars? Soft toys? I sometimes do; it's a habit I picked up from my internet friends. My laptop, for instance, is named Tony, because it is hot-rod red :D I need to track down a gold/blue arc reactor decal for the top! Oh Etsy, will you deliver to Vietnam?

My Kindle, on the other hand, is nameless even though I love it passionately. She's a girl, and a lovely royal purple. Any thoughts? Something literary seems appropriate, but I think "Ophelia" would be tempting fate...
