Christmas wishlist!
YAY IT’S TIME FOR THE WISHLISTS! Link me if you’ve posted yours. For reasons of finance and logistics I’m not doing Christmas cards this year, which has only made me more excited for wish-granting for the flist!

Step One
* Make a post to your LJ with a list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, big or small, expensive or free, fandom-related or not. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
* If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
* Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
* Surf around your friends list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes one person's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use—or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free—do it.
* You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf—to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not — it's your call.
* There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
1. Links! This year, I would love recs. :D For meta, for fic, for art, for vids, for icon-makers in Harry Potter, Thor, Doctor Who, Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji, and BtVS/AtS fandoms. Meta on general geekery would also be awesome, and so would Youtuber recs, or real!book recs. Other links/recs I’d love: Stuff To Do In London, and Ways Of Making Your Student(esque) Room Amazing.
2. ICONS ICONS ICONS. I have quite a large collection of icons, but I can always do with more. Current interests include Harry Potter (I’d love a Neville/Draco or Pansy/Ginny icon, especially, but also Harry/Draco, Ron/Draco, James/Sirius, Black sisters, Snape/Draco, McGonagall/Hooch...), BtVS (Buffy/Faith, either character alone, Dawn, Giles, Gunn, Spike, Willow, Anne...) Black Butler (William T Spears, Ciel, Grell, Sebastian, Prince Soma, Agni, Madame Red), Thor (I love Thor!! Also Loki, Darcy, Frigga, Sif), Disney (especially Aladdin, Jasmine, Simba, Nala, Mulan, Belle, the Beast, Phoebus, Esmerelda, but seriously yay for everything), and Doctor Who (most especially River, Amy, Rory, Eleven, Martha).
So, yeah. My userpics page will probably give you an idea of my aesthetic tastes? But they’re really varied so I’m sure I’d be thrilled with an icon someone made for me, whether simple or Photoshopped to the max.
3. Fic!! Which includes drabbles, as far as I’m concerned :) I’d love stuff featuring Harry, Ron, Snape or Neville with Draco, or Pansy or Tonks with Ginny; but I’ll try pretty much anything except Snarry and I have a lot of favourites! Something Christmassy, or defiantly un-Christmassy, all would be good. I love comedy and I love darkfic and I especially love established-relationship kink. (PS: fanart would make me fangasm. Even if it was chibis, and that’s really just disturbing.)
4. The Thor DVD! I don’t have it yet. I feel like a bad fan, but I don’t really have the money (or I might do, but I can’t spend it in case of Circumstances punching me in the purse). And since I am still hanging about on the edges of Thor/Avengers fandom with enthusiasm, and really love the New Fandom vibe, it would be so happy-making and fitting for the DVD to come from my flist :)
5. POST. I love letters and I love cards, hand-written or typed. Especially from my flist. Post is exciting and I hate getting only money-related post, and post from Internet Friends is especially exciting. A letter or a card would make my day!
6. This beautiful Shakespeare calendar. IT IS SO GORGEOUS AND SHINY. *waaaant*
7. Mountain Goats CDs. I don’t have any of their albums and I yeeeeeearn.
8. Poetry! :D Quotation in comments or links or recs would make me especially happy :D Or poetry books, if you feel like being especially generous. *cuddles Poems From The Underground andson_of_darkness*
9. Cool socks! Not toe-socks. But a lot of my cute-print Topshop socks are dying :( And I love socks with fun prints and weird or cute stuff on them. YAY SOCKS. I WOULD THINK OF YOU EVERY TIME I PUT THEM ON.
10. BOOKS. Always and forever, books. Send me something you won’t read again :) Seriously anything, although I’m looking out for fantasy, especially fantasy with political intrigue or plots-n-schemes, or funny books.
And, of course, for you all to have a wonderful time. And comfort for those of you who won’t, because this is the time of year when we’re all told it’s time to be joyful and merry and happy and giving and getting piles of gifts; and when you aren’t happy, none of that is very helpful. So I hope for good things for all of you.
