So yesterday I met up with slashers, for the first time ever! There’ll probably be a happy, squee-ful post about it tomorrow. For now I’ll just mention that we stopped in two bookshops and I now own three new mangas. Have read Gravitation already and I love it. The hero wants to be a rockstar and he’s so emotional and melodramatic and has constant pratfalls; he goes after Eiri Yuki, the slick blond writer, in utter fury when he’s told his lyrics are no good. Adorable.

And there’s this clever, sexy, cheerful best-friend guitarist named Hiro. *sigh* Once again, I’m falling for the secondary character.

I got the first volume of Loveless too, because [profile] lilith1631 told me to. Virgin boys with cat ears and tails! LOVE. And I’m now reading June’s Freefall Romance. Not what you’d call great literature, but there’s a blond and a brunet, and they’re both in suits and ties when they’re not naked and there’s delicious explicit boysex.

Besides, I also have Diana Wynne Jones’ new book! House of Many Ways is extremely awesome so far, even counting its Fiery Redheaded Heroine (TM), and the Entirely Unsurprising Exploitative Uncle (TM to DWJ). This is fantasy everyone should read, unlike... Well.

Youngest Sister, who’s thirteen, has finally picked up a book for the first time in a year.

It’s Twilight.

Gravitation was the first shounen-ai manga I ever read, lol I liked it but I gave up on it when I can't find the other volumes in every bookstore here. >.< Loveless, now that's one I'm still waiting to finish, loved the anime, love the manga more. :)

GUH, I love Gravitation, even though it descends into stupidity by the end. Yuki is still my fav hot seme of all time.

Loveless is unfinished...

(Both animes are the LOVE, Gravitation and Loveless both.)

And YES to Hiro!!!!!!! OMG, isn't he adorable???

Yeah, later in the fic she scraps romance for blowing shit up. I was like, WTF????

Yes, Shuichi should definitely fallen for Hiro. He would have been less traumatized. But NO, he had to fall for the JERK. (Yeah, me too. LOL!)

To my lovely I've-met-you-in-person friend,

Brian has left for Spain today and I must return to the normal world of working, but our trip to London will forever remain in my head. Especially me trying to put a sex manual in the religious section.

Here is a link to Loveless, the anime. After you have read your book of it, go and watch this because it will have you CRAVING for more. And the more you buy, the more i can borrow, hehe.

Gravitation was one of the things that threw me into the slash fandom, but now I don't like it so much. :/
But Loveless is pure win. 'Cept it makes me feel like a pedo...

Between you and [info]dysonrules, I'm kind of afraid of where Gravitation is going to end up!

It's not really THAT bad... the manga is definitely better than the anime, anyway. The only real problem I have with it is that after a while the plot pretty much dissolves and it just becomes ridiculous, like Maki Murakami was on drugs when she made it. lol

Oh God, yes. I find Ritsuka RIDICULOUSLY adorable, and mostly it doesn't make me feel like a pedo because it's just in that 'oh you're so cute and rude and cocky' way. And then I want him to get fucked.

Oh well. We can feel twisted together!

LMAO. Yeah, I like to pretend Ritsuka's at least 16 so I don't feel as bad... XD Oh, but guess what? There's also a yuri couple in Loveless! And it's wonderful, and the girls aren't as young. XD

ONLY *3* new mangas?

Um...did you get the *entire* Gravitation series? (12 volumes,
but that *might* count as one...I'm just pissed that Volume 2
of Gravitation EX was never published as of this point [Not
even in Japanese...*morns!*])

Um...about Loveless...

Is it slashy? Based on the summeries that I've read, I don't
really think so, but ALL sources I've had contact with claim
it's as slashy as hell!

Tell me please...Is it slashy, and if so, how?

*SQUEES!*

(NOTE:NO ONE else who've I've asked will say
ANYTHING about it, BUT on ALL the websites that
you can order stuff on, ALL of them will have a link
regarding, "If you liked [Something involving Yaoi],
you WILL like this...but the summery doesn't really
bear that out. (And-for the record-I've been the
victim of "bait & switch" before about this sort of
thing...)
