The White Collar finale!

lokifanRight, so! WHITE COLLAR FINALE. I just watched it and haven’t processed anything and this has all come out like a liveblog but LET’S TALK ABOUT IT OKAY
“Had... had a purpose.” XD
Jones whistling while he carried the massive box that defeated both Neal and Peter was awesome. JONES IS THE BEST.
Also, I am really liking Sara so much now. Saying it was hot! Being emotionally guarded yet liking Neal! Saying they SHOULDN’T ignore things! Yay!
The watch-hiding thing was totally cool.
I LOVE DRUGGED NEAL.
Yeeeah I knew it with the uboats and the Nazi dinnerware. That was hilarious and fantastic, all Indiana Jones/ Boys’ Own type stuff. Also, “if this doesn’t work...” “me too” KILLED ME DEAD. THE LONG LOOK BETWEEN THEM. THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO.
Mozzie and Sara hanging out = fun. Sara needs to be less condescending to him though.
I liked the Neal/Alex kiss. I liked that it was about convenience and the rush of being alive but that they connect, too, even if it’s partly through the things that make them unable to be together. But oh Sara :(
Hey White Collar you passed the Bechdel Test! Good for you! And Sara and Alex talking is so - OH NEAL WHY TO INTERRUPT MY JOY.
Jones warning Neal and offering to be wingman!!! I AM DEAD OF JONES’ AWESOME. Also it reminds me of Jones warning Peter that his wife and his girlfriend had come together in that episode with the Iraqi gold :)
Neal as “a wonderful fantasy that’s just out of reach” jarred me at first, but it actually works well with the whole con-or-man-not-conman thing: he’s learning to be a Real Boy.
I loved Peter’s voice changing, as it always does, when he spoke to El. Also the fact that he was CLEARLY sitting in his office watching Neal and Sara be awkward at each other and plotting with El.
“For better, for worse” YEEEEAH. El and Sara! Talking to each other! Makes me so happy, especially since that whole scene totally fits into an OT3 scenario. I loved the dinner party bit and only wish there could be more! Poor Neal and Sara feeling awkward, El and Peter being adorable, the ladies talking and El being so great, the men talking and Peter being so great, IT WAS ALL AWESOME.
Also, the ending? Rocked. The art wasn’t destroyed! New mysteries! Matt Bomer smiling!
I’m sure plenty of fans will not be pleased to see a rerun of the Peter/Neal trust issues - but then this isn’t that, quite. Peter has real reason to think Neal’s betrayed him when he had learnt to mostly trust him, which is a different thing. White Collar being what it is, this will likely all be dealt with in v. short order anyway, but I like it.
