I am so so sick of the scorn heaped upon romance. SO MUCH OF IT is stuff that could be said of almost all genre fiction (at least, if you wanted to ignorantly dismiss genre fiction) but romance just gets an extra measure of IT IS GIRL BOOKS FOR GIRLY GIRLS WITH NO CRITICAL FACILITIES disdain.
