Very heavy on the art this week, mostly because I’ve been using the family computer a lot - I’m at Mum’s until Sunday, when I move into the new place. Weirdly, I would rather risk the odd bit of porn when my sister might pass (luckily, Mum & Youngest Sister spent Tues-Fri in Geneva) than read much fic. I just find it hard to get into any kind of fiction when I don’t feel private/secure.

My current wallpaper. This is absolutely fantastic - Loki the brother, missing Thor, is held back by his colder side while Thor walks away. OMG MY HEART. The shading and colours and light and lines are fantastic, but mostly I love it for all the heartbreaking little details. Thor’s clenched-shut eyes - he’s so sad and so angry. Villain!Loki pulling brother!Loki’s hair, hurting himself to hold himself back, and so easily keeping control of brother!Loki. And the expressions - villain!Loki’s pursed mouth vs brother!Loki’s imploring look. *heartBREAK*

Avengers fic

The Loki Problem by elizamechanicka. (Avengers ensemble with Tony/Loki, ~30 000 words, G.)

Loki’s ill, and his magic’s going wonky. This is funny and cute and has great moments for all the Avengers - especially Thor - as well as teh Tony/Loki stuff. It makes me sad for Steve, who ends up with mystically-induced-then-sorta-real feelings for Loki himself. But I like how it’s dealt with and there is a happy ending.

Starts with lovely details about their childhood, and then it’s all INCREDIBLY hot PWP. Thor’s deep voice makes Loki squirm, and Thor uses it against him. OMG you guys. Loki’s attempts to control himself...

THE CLOTHING BARTER SYSTEM. Well-characterised - I love the John!voice - lots of fun dialogue, quietly engrossing, and also ADORABLE. The happy ending is LOVELY.
