Merlin 202: The Once and Future Queen

lokifanYay! After six weeks or so (but who’s counting?) I have watched a Merlin episode! I WIN AT TELLY.
OMG OMG OMG. ADRIAN LESTER! SQUEE! I have such an unbelievable crush on that man. Hustle repeatedly killed me dead.
...Please say the beard goes away?
That attempt at suspense was a fail. We all know who an assassin’s gonna be hired to kill.
:S Colin Morgan’s getting really skinny. *sends him cake*
LOL WHAT? “All my life I’ve been treated as I’m special. I just want to be treated like everyone else.” Don’t be ridiculous, Arthur! You want everybody to admire your manly ninja skillz, that’s all.
I’m laughing so hard right now. “It is said to have the body of a lion, the wings of an eagle, and the face of a... bear.” Merlin trying not to laugh was LOLtastic.
Funny how perfectly Merlin’s clothes fit Arthur.
Farmer = knight was a great comic sequence.
I note that Gwen’s yellow dress has been replaced by a lavender confection with flowers.
...I get the point is that he’s spoilt, but what happened to Guinevere’s dad’s bed?
LOL. I like Mickey!Assassin climbing the tower SPOTLIGHTED BY THE MOON and not getting caught.
Heh, that little sequence with Arthur and Merlin was notable mainly because Arthur was TOTALLY BLINDED by the cloak yet did not fall down.
I do like that Arthur’s not stupid – he’s spoilt, but not oblivious, and knows when Merlin’s snarking at him. That said, FAIL ON REALLY OBVIOUS POINT, SCRIPTWRITERS. Lances were made new, not repaired.
OH LOOK ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF SOMEBODY BEING SERIOUSLY INJURED BY JOUSTING. PERHAPS SOMETHING IS BEING FORESHADOWED.

Ooh, GWEN RANT. Even better. Loved it. She’s so fantastic. Arthur was definitely hurt, but he reacted with grace. Although I sort of fear he will reward Gwen with salmonella.
Ahahaha, that shot of Arthur pulling the chicken’s legs open! Win. Arthur with a crush is cute.
AWWWW. I loved that kiss, and that shot. SHUT UP IT WAS ROMANTIC.
Oh noes! Poor Arthur.
There’s been an awful lot of peeking-through-tent-flaps this episode. You’d think someone would notice.
D’aww. This episode made me really happy. The Arthur/Gwen was adorable and it was the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while. And the funny was usually deliberate instead of comical fail! Win!
