alley_skywalker both tagged me in the Five Things That Make Me Happy Meme. Since I got tagged, I’m also going to do Five Things That Have Improved My Mood An Improbable Amount This Week:

1. Working out where I want to go for birthday drinks tomorrow night (my birthday’s on Sunday). Just sorting this made me feel way better, and it should be fun - it’s this American speakeasy vibe, so you go and hit the doorbell at a house and then there’s a cocktail bar manned by someone who’s worked at the Four Seasons in New York and the London Savoy.

2. Getting chatting with a couple of my flatmates. Things are improving on that front! And they offered me some homemade Columba cake, which is this traditional Italian Easter cake and DELICIOUS.

3. Buying ridiculously cheap pizza and ridiculously expensive frozen yoghurt.

4. Having nice lessons with some of my middle-school students today (before a hellish class of seven-year-olds) and getting them to sing Anything You Can Do at each other (girls v boys, and it’s a conservatory so they got SUPER INTO IT) and doing an impromptu rendition of Take Me To Church with a twelve-year-old who is REALLY INTO that song. I will be thrown summarily from this intensely Catholic school/nation, omfg.

5. Tidying my room enough that I don’t try to shut the door before my flatmates can see my SO MUCH PAPER-related shame.

Anyway. Those are all RL things, so more (mostly) fannish things… Five Things That Make Me Happy

hp_kinkfest. Short, intense, good fic and great art tends to come out of it, and I’ve posted two fics there so far this round (here and here) and will post another tomorrow. SO MUCH PORN :D

3. I have a lot of choices about what to do next, job and location-wise, and sometimes that’s stressful but it’s a better stress than the kind that comes with feeling trapped.

4. Supergirl. I’m having a lot of fun with it, and it’s been quite a while since I had such intense shippy feelings (as opposed to having intense feelings about a character and shipping them secondarily.)

5. My new Kindle (uggggh money) has a decent camera! Enough to get by, anyway :D So hopefully pics will be forthcoming even though I still lack a cable for my actual camera.
