Authors Notes: This was written for the current challenge at dracoharry100, empty. A quick visit to the uni library necessitated writing a bit of fic, after all.


Draco didn’t scream when it happened; he stood quietly, then gave a little sigh into the Dementor’s mouth. Harry screamed, pain ripping through him as Draco dropped into a heap on the stone floor.

Kingsley offered Harry a job: they needed Aurors. Harry shook off the paternal hand on his shoulder, skin crawling.

Harry’d promised Draco, before the trial. “I’ll take care of you.” His influence hadn’t been enough to save him. But he could brush his hair and wash him and make sure Draco was warm and fed.

Draco wasn’t in pain. He watched with empty eyes while Harry cried.

(BTW there's a similar punishment in 'Dollhouse' if you watch it, it's another Whedon show-no way near as good as Firefly- but still pretty good-if it helps bring more fic like this I approve of you watching it)

I've seen Dollhouse! I like it, too. The whole Attic thing is scary, but I find it less frightening - probably because in theory it can be fixed, whereas the Dementor's Kiss is irrevocable.

Although I gotta say, my endless passionate crush on Faith is much bigger than my slight crush on Echo - partly because Eliza Dushku is so much skinnier and I am shallow.

Bad Ministry indeed. I edited out a sentence about how awful they are, vanishing all the Death Eaters so they don't have to face their own colloboration. Poor scapegoated Draco. :(

This is very depressing. Poor Harry. Yes, Draco had his souls sucked out *hugs Draco too*, but Harry is living with the consequences of something he couldn't help, something he thinks of as a failure.
