AHAHAHAHA. HE INSTANTLY FOUND THE RIGHT BOOK AND ACCIDENTALLY TRIPPED A REVOLVING BOOKSHELF. NEVER CHANGE, MERLIN, NEVER CHANGE.
Merlin! STOP. PAUSE. CONSIDER.

Hello, Bradley James’ nipples! We hadn’t seen you for a whole twenty minutes, are you sure you’re fulfilling your contractual obligations?
LOLOLOL FTW. I love Arthur’s perching on his bed with his sword making his Combat Face. And the boy’s gift for slapstick is considerable :D Comedy episodes can really be so fun.
Didn’t the troll make similar orgasmic noises over gold? Well, there are fewer fart jokes and those episodes rocked, so never mind.
Oh, the goblin possessed Gaius?! It’s on my shit list now. >.<
The arm-wrestling was pretty fun, but it pains me to see Gaius acting with so little dignity or compassion :(
Aaaand the inevitable fart jokes. Sometimes being a fan of BBC teatime telly is hard work.
Oh what? What? WHAT AN INCREDIBLE WASTE. The book of spells has been found, Arthur’s had Merlin arrested, Merlin’s going to be executed for sorcery and IT’S ALL BEEN WASTED ON A COMIC EPISODE. The tension in the throneroom scene was DELIBERATELY drained for comic effect, with silly music and all. Which I get for a comic episode, but arrrgh way to drain building tension from your major premise.
OH GWEN, I AM DISAPPOINT. I know I shouldn’t take any characterisation seriously in a comedy episode but you are generally far better than to let humiliation stop you from helping save Merlin!
Arthur, on the other hand, is doing well :)
AHAHAHAHA. I require icons of pissed-off!donkey!Arthur, stroked-to-orgasm-by-Gwen!Arthur, and Gwen’s adorable smile. Also, one is forced to wonder if Arthur is the object of affection of any fairies or queens about the place...
YAY FOR MERLIN & GWEN! I’m so happy to see them working together again. :D AND THEY SAVED GAIUS!
