lokifanThis has been a good weekend :D On Friday night I headed to a goth club with son_of_darkness, dora_the_nymph and marbletables. It was a great night - clockworkwasp wins at organising! - and we saw the lovely duranorak again. By the end my beautiful shoes were hurting me but I do not care because I got to dance on a night out for the first time in ages.
Also this couple recognisedson_of_darkness from the internet, what. *is friends with an INTERNET CELEBRITY*
And then Saturday I ate ALL THE FOOD and saw Captain America with the awesomenixied! I only wanted to see it
a: because Nixie and I see geeky action films together
b: because it’s one of the Avenger films and I must be prepared!
and c: because Thor fandom teaches me that people like to slash the virginal Cap and naughty naughty Tony Stark. I wished to investigate further.
But for all that I wasn’t super into seeing it, it turned out to be SO GOOD. I liked that they focussed on this particular supervillain type instead of making the Germans (or even the Nazis) supervillains. I loved how there were hints of how the Avengers plot and the mythos fit together. The action was good and Agent Carter was so awesome and Steve Rogers’ HURT LITTLE FACE was all the adorable. And it was just a well-characterised, fun thing. The good doctor was my favourite character. :D
Also, the yellowy-green filter of Olden Days was cool, and made it extra-clear when Steve woke up in the future with SUPER AWESOME NICK FURY.
Nixie and I came it out of the film full of squee and fanfic wishlists. I require Tony/Cap with Cap constantly comparing Tony and his dad, where he starts off all HOWARD WAS BETTER and finishes like I PREFER TONY, ON BALANCE. And angstful I-just-miss-my-comrades slash.

LOKI: OMG Nick Fury, you are authoratitive and have an eye patch! I can has your approval?
NICK FURY: You are evil. I disapprove.
LOKI: *wibbles* Okay, I’ll be an Avenger! Love me!
LOKI: *is redeemed*
NICK FURY: You’re okay... but you’re no Thor.
LOKI: DADDY! NO! *wails* *smites*
But I am awful that way :D
The other reason this is a good weekend? Tomorrow I get a new laptop. £230 further into the overdraft, but I will have a laptop.
