Friday recs post: all it takes is practice

My last Rectober post, ahis week is pretty much all about my gleeful exploration of the Avatar: the Last Airbender fandom. I love this canon so much, guys! And I am so beyond late, but I have also spent yonks NOT following links because I knew I’d get round to it someday, and OMG THE EXCITEMENT. I’m also discovering where the Korra/Asami stuff I have YEARNED for is hiding. S2 might not want to give us any shared screentime with them BUT I DON’T CARE. This is the Avatar/angsty rich kid rejecting their evil father pairing for me!

LOL. Not that Asami and Zuko don’t have parallels - but she is so much more together than him. I started giggling as I wrote ‘angsty’ because Asami is a light spring rain and Zuko is an angst TYPHOON.

I am so so tragically late for this fandom. But I don’t care, I will read and watch ALL OF THE THINGS, because I need more of these characters. And this is the only fandom since Buffy where I have simultaneously adored the canon ships and wanted to multiship my little heart out. Although I also just want whatever the A:TLA equivalent of gen casefic is. YEEEARNING.

Also, if you wanted to rec me an Avatar icon maker or comm, I would not be opposed to that. I have a couple of great Korra icons but it's just not enough.
