Saturday recs post: the sublime to the ridiculous

Less variety than last week, partly because of my rummage through my Ron/Draco bookmarks for crack_broom...

Harry Potter fic

In Which Weasley And Draco Meet At A Sex Club by titti. Ron/Draco, NC-17, ~2800 words; cross-dressing, slight dub-con, D/s, spanking, some exhbitionism/voyuerism. Summary: Weasley walked around like he owned the place, like he owned Draco, radiating confidence with every step.

Um. Ngh. Unf. Ron is so dom and hot and THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN GIVE DRACO WHAT HE NEEDS, OKAY, and he breaks Draco’s barriers and I am ded of smut. More coherently: this is kink in a kink club, yet consent is more dubious than you might expect; this is a Draco still sneering at the world, yet looking for someone to take control (but keep him safe); and this is a Ron who has come into his own. They seem to give each other just what they need, and the combination of that with extremely sexy spanking fills me with glee.

Flagrante by ldymusyc. Bellatrix/Draco, NC-17, ~1000 words; dub-con. Summary: He wants to feel normal again, and he knows that he never, ever will. He lifts his head and there is Bella, dancing and spinning, laughing wildly, her hair streaming around her in dark waves, and he knows why.

Draco in the immediate aftermath of the HBP attack on Hogwarts, horrified; and Bellatrix, exultant. I love the fire imagery here, Bellatrix’s violent joy, and Draco’s combination of hating it and finding a way to live with it.

What Pride Doesn’t Know by igrockspock. Percy/Oliver, PG, ~3500 words. Summary: How Percy Weasley came to dance with Oliver Wood at Ginny's wedding is a long story, and he might have forgotten to tell his family a few parts of it -- like the part about how he's gay, and in a relationship with a man.

I’ve already seen this recced a lot, but I’m reccing anyway because I love me some well-done Percy fic. I love how this goes through Percy’s obliviousness and how his relationship with Oliver develops and Percy’s fear of another way of being different from his brothers and all these different threads in just a few well-chosen, understated scenes.

Lazy Afternoon by goseaward. Ron/Draco, NC-17, ~1800 words. Summary: Ron has plans; Draco has work.

Sexy, sweet, gorgeously written; and I love the combination of kink with a quiet awareness of the long-term relationship - which is exemplified by the last line.

One Step by l3petitemort. Ron/Draco, NC-17, ~13 100 words; dealing with past rape (not between Ron & Draco.)

One of my favourite Ron/Draco fics, set during DH while Ron’s at Shell Cottage. Funny, sexy, IC; a perfect balance of boyish charm and the darkness of what’s happened to them both, what’s still happening. And the ending is just ridiculously perfect - like, this is the one fic I would like to do a podcast of, just because I love the ending dialogue so much.

Absolutely beautiful colouring, and just so passionate - I love the trails left by Ron’s fingers, Ron’s mouth on Draco’s neck, the sense of them caught in the throes of passion.

For Science by caras_galadhon. Tony/Bruce, NC-17, ~2200 words; fisting, orgasm delay. Summary: There are few things Bruce enjoys so much as watching Tony come undone under his hands.

Scorching hot, and so funny, with an excellent cameo from Thor :D

Barter by chatoyais. Steve/Tony, PG. Summary: they have a barter system: coffee for kisses. tony calls it bribery. steve calls it effective.

Just such gorgeous colouring; I love the POV, with us seeing them half-through one of Tony’s floating blueprints, and Steve’s arm round Tony in the awkward sort of way that happens.

Loki/Tony by maxdasuki. Loki/Tony, G; potential implied dub/non-con? Idk.

This is G and yet SCARY AS FUCK. Tony bruised and with a distinctly strained expression, Loki wearing his best supervillain smirk and holding Tony against him, cradling his face. The colouring, lineart and composition are all great but I’m mostly focussed on OMG. HOT, YET TERRIFYING.

Well-edited Natasha being brilliant to fierce lady hip-hop. What more do you need? Plus, there has genuinely never been a better lyric for Natasha than there’s a china doll in the bullpen.

Do you rec over at fancake ever? They were asking for more fandom variety just recently, and I noticed there are no HP recs at all.

(I haven't actually been following the comm very long, I just really like the idea of it, and wish there were more fandoms I'm interesting in represented there.)
