The Skin You’re In byentrenous88. Buffy/Faith, ~500 words, PG. Summary: When Buffy sees Faith.
This a fantastic ficlet for ME. I love Buffy's recognition of what's going on with Faith but that she still doesn't know quite what to do, and the really vivid, perfect images of Faith-as-Buffy-sees-her, and the way it could be gen except there's this ~vibe between them, always. :D Plus I love Buffy/Faith post-Chosen, which this is.

Birds and Branches by Anonymous. Harry/Draco, PG-13. Summary: A hook-up story in four pictures. In which Draco has tattoos and Harry is fascinated...
This is beautiful and fascinating. I love how genuinely magical the tattoos seem and the way Draco is drawn.
Family Curse by Anonymous. Harry/Draco, PG. Summary: It's a little known fact that many old pureblood families have long forgotten dormant family curses that once in a while surprise everyone by activating.
This is such a beautiful little story, told entirely dialogue-free. I love the art style - check out Hermione under her big book, where all we see of her is hair! It reminds me of old-fashioned illustrations in children’s books, and adds both to the atmosphere and the fairy-tale feel. I love that second panel, the family portrait with ickle!Draco and his tail, ridiculous amounts - and the ending with Harry added to the family, omg! Dragon!Draco is beautifully done, too. So much love for this.
Tangled by Anonymous. Harry/Draco, PG. Summary: While on a walk with their loyal pup, their dog decides that they need to be a little closer.
OMG, this is amazing! Art made out of... clay, IDK? The textures are great, especially Harry's hair vs Draco's. And there’s an adorable puppy, and Draco groping Harry's arse as they kiss. I love how emotions come across even without faces on the boys. So cute and it must have taken so much work!

Coffee, Cakes and Doorknob Snakes by Anonymous. Harry/Draco, ~40 900 words, NC-17. Summary: Harry's house is trying to kill him, and only one person can help him: pity it's Draco Malfoy.
This is the kind of fic you read with a smile on your face. There’s a fun, clever plot, proper acknowledgement of their pasts beyond ‘we used to be rivals’, and an utterly darling Harry.
Draco’s passion for his job and their shared snark really light things up, and there’s some nice Parselsmut in there too. (Grimmauld Place’s snakes all knowing Draco as Sex On A Stick thanks to Harry is excellent!) There are lots of lovely Trio moments too, and this really heartwarming scene involving Harry as Sirius’ heir... just read it!
Deck The Halls by Anonymous. Harry/Draco, ~9 700 words, T. Summary: After returning to Hogwarts for his final year, Harry finds a part of the castle that has been left untouched by the Christmas spirit. However, his plans to decorate—and perhaps heal some old wounds—are thwarted by Draco Malfoy, who has managed to find the one place that still feels like the past. Draco thinks Harry can eat an ornament if he thinks he can ruin Draco’s new refuge.
This is sheer Christmas cuteness. It’s grounded in darker stuff from canon and never feels too fluffy, but the focus is on healing and this sanctuary Harry and Draco share, and their new interests. Harry’s obsession with decorating is adorable - he will tinsel the world! - and Draco in a reading nook working his way through nineteenth-century Muggle novels, especially the ones with dark, handsome heroes - yay! It made me laugh and always feels IC.
Twelve Days of Draco bybirdsofshore. Harry/Draco, ~3000 words, R. Summary: Draco really deserves a better class of mystery admirer. Who on earth would be smitten enough to keep sending him all these ridiculous presents? And will he ever remember who he was kissing at Blaise's party?
One of the funniest fics I have EVER read. It’s Draco’s diary over the course of Christmas as he deals with strange gifts and absolutely hysterical - his voice is fantastic. Too many hilarious lines to quote.
Fearless by Anonymous. Harry/Draco, ~35 000 words, NC-17. Summary: "There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance." -- John Lennon
My favourite fic of the fest so far. I loved it to pieces: the Draco/Dudley meeting, the “Muggle girls have vagina dentata” idea, Buckbeak - they were all so funny. (Also Harry taking Draco to Camden, since if he acted or dressed oddly people wouldn’t notice!) Ron, Hermione and Ginny were all really well written. And then, omg, the reveal and so many ~feelings. I loved the fear and bravery theme - Harry's exhilaration came through fantastically, and so did Draco's vulnerability. (And omg, "you make me brave". SO MANY FEELINGS.) But what I especially loved about this fic is that it did what I always want in H/D, and romance in general: it showed the individual journeys of the two characters (even though Harry had no clue about Draco’s journey for most of it) and why they are exactly what the other person needs.

I know, I know, you never want to hear that song again and there are too many bad fanvids set to it. BUT THIS ONE IS JOYFUL AND BRILLIANT. Also it’s a multishipper’s dream. Love the way it starts with Pepper and Rhodey then opens out into the Avengers. JOYOUS ORGIES. (Which by a strange coincidence is the tagline for Avengers 2.)

I spent like half an hour trying to dig this one up, because the lyrics and all the Doctors and so many companions, omg they give me such joy. I am such a cheap date for happy vids that feature classic Who, because then it’s not just about characters I like now, it is MY CHILDHOOD and LOOK HOW HAPPY THEY ARE.
