So much to say! I shall do it in list format.

Fandom:

1. If you have two or three replies to comments in your inbox from me, it’s because you’re an excellent commenter and I fail at responding.

2. Continuing the theme of fail, I never pimped my awesome birthday fic from enchanted_jae! Go and read it, for it is awesome. It’s an installment in her Lupercalia arc (oh yeah, pagan tradition, produce smut that’s harder) and it has Seamus being a Very Bad Boy to Draco. *watches everybody rush for the link at the last two words*

3. I signed up for hp_sas! My assignment came today – obviously it’s all Very Anonymous, much like MI5 only less incompetent. So I shall say only :). In other fest news, hp_rarities is SO hard. But I made 200 words of progress today, so I’m counting it as a victory. Particularly since I’ve promised myself that if (and only if) I’m close to the finish line on that fic before sign-ups close, I’ll go and play with you guys in the nextgendarkfest.

4. Question: where should I post a Ron/Scorpius fic? I tend not to follow the comms – you marvellous flisters provide me with the fic and recs I need! – and I can’t find any cross-gen comms. One feels that a next-gen community largely filled with Rose/Scorpius wouldn’t take kindly to a perverse example of the other RW/SM.

Real Life:

#1 I’m going home this weekend! First time I’ve voluntarily gone home. It should be okay; if it gets all tense I shall hide in my room with my laptop and write. But I do want to go home – I was too ill to go home for Middle Sister’s birthday and that made me a sad panda.

#2 My uni’s having elections, and I’m standing for Welfare Officer in the Pride society. Mr Blond Ambition is running for President, and to be honest that worries me. He gets paranoid that people are bitching about him, and can be very dictatorial. Such things to do not a good committee chair make.

#3 I had two lectures and a seminar today. However, the only thing I learnt today was why it’s a bad plan to keep the caffeine pills and the ibuprofen next to each other.

#4 I’m choosing modules for next year! This is kind of exciting, but so complicated I really feel I’m going crazy when I try to understand all the abbreviations. Still, there is Shakespeare and post-colonialism and creative writing, so it's all good.

TBH, if I was still at uni, I wouldn't want Mr Blond Ambition as President. He's paranoid, and I don't think he'd be good at organising events etc. He'll probably just end up giving all the work to miss Godfrey.

She should totally have the job, she's adorable and people would FLOCK to Pride.

I don't want him as President either. When he told me he was running, I told him straight up that I thought it was a bad plan. And during that conversation he kind of proved my point: he talked about the committee working 'for' him not 'with' him, assumed I had some massive personal issue with him rather than just not wanting him as president, etc...

And yeah, I want her to have the job! Hey, when Mr Blond Ambition was on the council (before he quit because people were 'bitching'!!) Miss Godfrey did all the work. It's actually insane because she's not allowed to VOTE. There should be some sort of clause for allies.

How's life at home?

Life at home is okay, I have the flu (YAY FUN TIMES) but it's okay. Looking for jobs, and the like. Mainly acting as a housewife, washing, cleaning keeping various animals under control. Have been trying to write though, not exactly going great but it seems promising, I'll let you know :)

How is UEA coping with it's tragic loss?

Writing is odd going right now, it is bandom (the shame, the horror!) and I don't know if I'll ever post it, but still, it's writing. I like it.

There are a couple of tattoo studios near me. Renegade Tatu and Rawhide are the ones to go for - Mike's is SHIT and leads to nasty infections. I'd go for Rawhide personally cos I know the owner, and he did an apprenticeship. That said, I hear lots of good things about Renegade. Plus, Renegade is less of a heavy-biker-vibe place, if that matters. Dunno if either of them have a website, but I don't think so.

WE HAVE BROTHERS. Gerard and Mikey Way. Not twins, but still, brothers. Literal mind fucking? OF COURSE. My Chem's 'Vampires Will Never Hurt You' and FOB's '16 Candles' videos, have vampires with thrall power.

Heh, I suppose you do have villains. But we have villains PLUS heroes who are often incredibly nasty. I mean, I love how sweet the bandom boys are (*squishes them*). But when I've got the urge to read darkfic, you can't do better than a boy who eviscerated a classmate and never felt bad about it, paired with a man who tried to have an eleven-year-old girl murder her classmates. (Srsly. Lucius/Harry ftw. I love when they're evil together.)

Ah Veelas, they would be a good addition to any fandom, but of course the bandom people worked around it. Sexpollen fics! They tend to pretty much follow this basic plotline:
