Jesus. I've been reading through my flist and I'm horrified. I had no idea all this was going on - the one time in the last year I've been ignoring my flist and this happens!

I'm still undecided about whether to leave. I'm primarily a reader and I don't want to loose what I can find here. But all the reasons I loved LJ have been tainted by this. I'm definitely making a GJ account and I'll see who comes too.

I am also getting incredibly emotional about the fandom response to this. Once again proof of our collective brilliance.

Anyone know where I can get a Strikethrough/Strikeback icon/button/banner?

It was a very emotional time. Like I said on my LJ ~ it was crazy on a stick! But oh-so-very wonderful, too ~ to see people from all over the world joining together to fight for what we wanted ~ inspiring, I thought. LJ has apologized, profusely, and in the interest of fairness, I'm staying. They made a mistake ~ albeit a HUGE one ~ but we all do that from time to time. They owned up to it and went about fixing it. If they fuck up this majorly again, well, I'll revisit the issue of leaving, but for now I'm content to stay. I just read and rec, but the community here is so wonderful that the thought of going saddens me.
