And I really like AllOut's idea of emphasising this speech and this moment, instead of the fact that delegates walked out of this meeting in outrage at the idea that queer rights are human rights.

This was such an inspiring video. I saw it earlier. I didn't cry, but it was a close thing, plus I was feeling a little cried-out already.

Hmm, my self-definition artwork is the closest I come to a pride icon on DW (not counting the rainbow mod hat), I must remedy this.

I'm surprised I cried, actually. I don't tend to weep at the drop of a hat, but he was like two lines in and I was ~omg.

! I kind of love the idea of using your self-definition artwork as a pride icon. But yay for moar! I have two - my Rent one, which I love, and a 'rainbow warrior' one on LJ, with this girl's face staring at you while she brings lines of rainbow paint across her face. Which I love for the more ferocious posts: WAR PAINT TIME.

Oh, I'm not a crying person for most purposes, but it's things like that which get to me. If it had been a lot longer I'm pretty sure I would have cried regardless.

:) Thanks. It does have a bi-pride flag on it. But that's not very obvious if you're glancing casually or don't know the specific flag. The whole painting was purposely abstract. I have to say I love your Rent one, I didn't realise what it was until I'd seen about three lines go by. Of course then I started singing in my head! Love me some Rent. :)
