I love 100x100 icons so much. They can be so cool or beautiful or funny or clever, meta in one image, or just a really nice extra element of communication. It's genuinely something I miss a lot on Tumblr, especially having a defusing "I've worked long and hard to get this pompous" icon.
Also, boo I have a headache. BUT YAY THOR 2 EXCITEMENT REACHING A CRESCENDO. PLEASE DO NOT SPOIL ME I HAVE NOT BEEN CLICKING ANYTHING FOR WEEKS NOW. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOON.

This icon is from No Heroics, a short-lived British sitcom about superheroes that I love. So that's nice. Plus it's a great icon for posts/comments about certain real-life exploits.
I love this one! Because obviously it works as an angsty HBP-era Snaco icon, and I am always down for that. But it also works as a gen icon. Like, “you were never mine” can obviously refer to a sexual/romantic relationship, but because it's from that particular moment in HBP, I can also read it as – you were never mine, because you're Lucius'. Snape is the least naturally paternal man on the planet, poor guy, but I feel like he takes on something of a paternal role for both Harry and Draco in HBP in different ways. And Draco would've responded really well to that earlier – but now Severus has taken the position with Voldemort that Draco thinks rightfully belonged to Lucius, and Severus is trying to advise him and instruct him – there's a real “you're not my real dad!” vibe to it, to my mind. And Severus can't really save him, can't trust Draco with the truth, because Draco isn't capable of trusting him any more. Much as Draco idolised Severus when he was younger, he never belonged to Severus – he's Lucius' son. (And Narcissa's, of course, maybe more so.) But yeah. LOT OF ICON FEELS.
I am a Giles/Spike shipper in that way where I would never ever want it in canon but I do want it in kinky fic. So, yeah. I use it for that (yay for Giles being all threatening and dominant and startled!Spike) and also as a sly joke when discussing pairings that are extra contra-canonical – because Giles threatening Spike to stay away due to Spike's interest in Buffy? Sure! Let's interpret that as sexual tension!
I like Riley! And one of the reasons I don't think the S4 “fear the man” plot is a retread of S3's is that we get Riley, who's well-intentioned and trying hard and yet is still walking a dark road. I like his worries and how Buffy helps him find his own moral centre and rebel, and this icon just encompasses his whole S4 arc for me.
I love this film specifically, and I love the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale generally – like, you give me a Beauty and the Beast retelling, I am there. I drew the fairy tale into my (undergrad) dissertation on the Other and Gothic in children's literature, because I was talking about how children's literature deals with the Other (as compared to adult's literature traditionally). Because sometimes the Other has to die, but more often you'll get the protagonist talking to the Other, getting to know them, growing to love them. Once the unknown becomes known, and the other is drawn into society – the monstrous Other is no longer a monster. Beauty changes the Beast by the process of getting to know and love him. Also, personal transformation via relationships and knowing someone and changing them and being changed: HELLO MY FAVOURITE TROPE IN ALL THE WORLD. So yeah. There's a reason my name for this icon is “Beauty and the Beast: transform.”
