Angelus had expected William to submit to him easily, once he understood the realities of vampiric families. This golden-haired Ganymede was just Angelus’ type: small, blond, and with a hint of danger. Unfortunately, he was also a man of the times, and his sensibilities were shocked by Angelus’ roguish grins and “inappropriate touches!”

So Angelus courted him. He spoke to him softly, smiling; he gave William the pick of the prey; he brought back trinkets and truffles. Intimacy and patience, that was how the elegant preyed.

Then Angelus got bored, so he threw William down and fucked him into unconsciousness.

Excellent! Angel would of course see William as Ganymede to his Zeus, while William would be shocked! Not that it would make any difference in the end. This is a wonderful way to flesh out all the little bits from Destiny, and is a great explanation for so much of their fraught relationship.

One thing: JKR doesn't actually have any stock in the Buffyverse, imaginative though she may be.

Oh, wonderful insight into Angelus and William's relationship in the beginning. It explains why there was so much tension between the two when William became Spike.

Hahaha thats brilliant!

I was reading it like some sort of wistful soft piece of poetry that suddenly ended in abrupt manner. I really liked this! It made me smile.

Heh, that sounds about right. I love the idea of Angelus courting him and being spurned by Victorian William.

Can't believe I hadn't read this yet! It almost reminds me of Lestat and Louis' relationship in the Vampire Chronicles... The last line caught me off guard! But it also made me giggle in a slightly uncomfortable yet giddy way.
