Good things come in threes
Jan. 21st, 2009 09:58 pmMy parents visited me on Sunday. Not only did that stress me out, and incidentally mean I couldn’t attend a meeting to try and get in on the student union’s radio station, they also give me some distinctly unwelcome news. They’re the ones who pay my living expenses, since I spend the loan on my accommodation. Since they’re not doing too well financially, they’re going to decrease it from £60 a week to £50.
Of course their jobs are stable – they work for London university and the C of E respectively – and the reason they’re not doing well is that they did building work so my sisters would have a bedroom each. And they know I got scammed recently. And – *stops self before she starts to rant*
Right. Time to post about the happy things that have happened to me lately!
I got a Skyehawke account! Isn’t it pretty? I love it! I keep going over whenever I’m online, just to look at my official-looking SKYEHAWKE archives account! :)))
I was v surprised (and bothered with myself) when I realised I didn’t post about this when it actually happened. But it has, and it is marvellous. All hail
Another good thing is the very, very lovely Christmas cards I got. Thank you
Much as I try to avoid cliches: good things come in threes! This is the third ‘good thing’ in more than one way, so this is clearly true. Check it out: another award nomination!
I was nominated for Best Slash (!!!) at the Rogue Poet Awards for What ‘One Time’? I am so very pleased I got nominated, though. Whoever did it, I am supremely grateful! First ever nomination. *hugs it*
Tell me about a nice thing that’s happened in your life lately! Maybe a bad thing as well, if you need to rant. My favoured method would be one bad thing, three good things, because that’s how your lives should be, my darlings. Also because I’ve come to realise that I myself am somewhat obnoxiously perky.
My “happy” tag has 22 uses, my “anxious”, “angry” and “sad” tags 7 uses between them. This is why I’m lucky.

Date: 2009-02-09 02:29 am (UTC)Btw, I'm failing at keeping up with the 10k posts, but I love your cause. They're all good ones, but yours is the closest to my heart. (I wonder if being in/around London has something to do with sensitivity to youth homelessness as an issue? Depressing but plausible.)
ANYWAYS. Talk to you soon
